In a nutshell: This news story reports on the findings of the National Diabetes Audit which indicates that whilst more people are receiving all 9 key tests recommended in the NICE guidelines, thousands are still missing essential tests. The audit considered records of over 1.7 million people with diabetes in England and Wales, and found that just over half of patients with Type 2 diabetes received all nine tests in 2008/9.
